Thursday was a long day for the man formerly known as Prince Andrew, who spent 11 hours in police custody after his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

And it was this image of a shell-shocked Andrew Mountbatten Windsor leaving Ailsham police station last night that dominated almost every newspaper front page today.

It's no surprise Andrew looks so haunted.

He's the first member of the royal family to be arrested in 350 years,

and the first sibling of a monarch to be detained since Elizabeth I.
