Summary

Patriot militia occupy Fort Ninety-Six on the South Carolina Frontier while the loyalist militia are away. The militia return in large numbers, but cannot overcome the patriot defenses. Now, the bulk of the fighting in 1775 took place in the north, but the South did see its

share of fighting as well. On November 11, two ships attacked the South Carolina ship, the Defiance, at Hog Point near Charleston.
