chat to fascinating people over a few courses of fantastic food. Today's guest was a reluctant

pop star in the eighties before swapping his keyboard for the him sheet and becoming

the Vicar affine. Not one to spurn the limelight entirely. He has continued regular TV and radio

appearances. He's the host of BBC Radio 4 Saturday Live and has also just published a best-selling

memoir The Madness of Greief. Before we proceed, I have what my guest would probably call a few

one which may not be suitable for all listeners. Our chat over lunch was recorded mid-lockdown

three whilst there was still snow on the ground. We dined thanks to a delivery from the

wonderful gamebird at the staff at a hotel and that cheer our spirits no end. And my guest,

well it is of course the enormously talented Reverend Richard Coles. When it was announced
