0:42.0 | And the reason this topic came up is that I have just returned from a undergraduate reunion this weekend. |
0:51.0 | A bunch of us went and traveled to upstate New York to meet at the wonderful home of a friend of ours tucked in the mountains. |
1:02.0 | And I suppose maybe it's a fact that we're all in our 60s that there was a deeper soulful. |
1:11.0 | This is this is the class of 1925. |
1:15.0 | For that age, but no, this was this was the we all came into the school of 1980. |
1:22.0 | And it was as it has been so impactful to me in each several years when we come together. |
1:30.0 | There's a different tone that is brought forward. |
1:36.0 | There was something a little more soulful and sober in some ways about this reunion. |
1:43.0 | Some of us were wondering if that's because we're in our 60s, but we also were reflecting on who came to the reunion, who didn't come, who's too anxious to come. |
1:56.0 | Why we speculate that would be why some of us are almost euphoric to see each other again. |
2:03.0 | And it brought up just how remarkably complicated it is to return and to gather together. |
2:12.0 | And sit in all of the different kinds of memories that are revoked in each other's presence. |
2:20.0 | So today we just thought we would we'd riff on reunions and try to make a better sense about it. |
