It feels like we've been away for quite a long time because the last time I was actually sitting here was over three weeks ago.

It was a Thursday morning. I remember it very clearly because I missed

Richard Tice on the Friday because I was doing breakfast. I've been doing breakfast all this week as well,

but I've delighted to say Richard Tice is back, looking very refreshed after his trip down to Kent.

We'll be talking more about that a little bit later on. I'm very refreshed, obviously, after having

been to Italy for a couple of weeks, where there was no shortage of bottled water, where there was no droughts, where there were no hosepipe bands,

and where everybody was swimming in the sea, just like you can here.

I was on with Jeremy Cole last night, and here's Morgan Unsenton saying,

you know, what is wrong with having desalination plant in this country?

Why on earth can we not have them?

We've got one imbectin. It's not operational because apparently it's too expensive to light it up with electricity. Well, you know, it's absolutely incredible to me that we

are now finding ourselves in a position where in Yorkshire, they're imposing a hose pipe ban.

People in Yorkshire are saying it's been raining. It's not even that dry. I remember summers

in this country being very, very dry. I've played an awful lot of golf on some very brown golf courses over the course of time. This is not anything new. People are trying to tell us that we're in an unregulated heat wave and it's never been this bad. It's never been this intentional. I walked into work this morning. I felt rather nice. It wasn't very hot at all. It will get hot later on. But can everybody please calm down a little bit?

Apparently we're going to run out of bottled water.

In the 1970s you didn't have any bottled water. Some maniac came up with the idea of bottling water and selling it to you.
