From an attendant standpoint when WrestleMania 17 went down the 1st of April 2001, it was able to boast that it had

the second largest attendance ever in pro wrestling when you're talking about the United States of America.

Almost 70,000 fans packed into the Astrodome and the reason I'm starting here

is because when we go back 20 years everybody wants to go,

ah, the product was so much better.

I so much more enjoyed watching wrestling in the

late 90s in the early 2000s but we forget how apropro it was that they were also

making hand-over-fist when it came to money I mean business was booming.

So it was on the perfect relationship and

W. W. would kill for those kind of numbers today maybe even literally just

get a knife and stab an old man right in the face.

The way we go.

The other point though is that yeah when you do sit down to watch this

there's not really one bad match.

I mean there is but in terms of an event from start to finish, this ticks every single one of your boxes,

and surely it's got to be considered the greatest WrestleMania ever,

but you can go outside of that too and actually make the argument that maybe it's one of the best

shows events pay-per-views that WWE has ever produced there'll be a

counterpoint but it needs to be in the chat. Despite all of that though there was

only one huge piece of news that everybody

wanted to discuss after the fact and that is that Stone Cold Steve Austin the
