As the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade continues to affect the lives of people across the country,

we're continuing our week of stories exploring how businesses are responding to or meeting this moment.

The minute the Supreme Court overturned the landmark case, so-called trigger bans,

laws banning abortion that went into effect immediately upon Roe being overturned,

went into effect in six states.

Twenty-six states are expected to outlaw abortion, estimates, health policy, non-profit, the Gutmacher Institute.

Shortly after the ruling, a number of large companies announced they were offering financial assistance and other accommodations to employees who need to travel to get an abortion in another

state. Dick's sporting goods was one of those retailers, both CEO Lauren Hobart and executive

chairman Ed Stack, took to their LinkedIn profiles to announce that Dix would reimburse employees

up to $4,000 if they had to travel to another state to get a legal abortion.
