He has become in his resurrection both Lord and Christ.

Tomorrow, Good Friday, will be a day of sorrow for many people as they remember the shame and unspeakable suffering that Jesus endured on the cross for their sins. And yet, what followed his sacrifice is so remarkable,

First of all, the resurrection proves the truthfulness of the Word of God.

Secondly, the resurrection not only proves the truthfulness of the Word of God, it proves the

deity of the Son of God. God is the one who raised

Christ, and he did it to give testimony to his deity. He has become in his resurrection both Lord

and Christ. The resurrection, Peter says in Acts 236, shows him to be Lord and Christ.

So, the resurrection not only proves that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners,

but it proves that He was God.
