I'm sensing that the Lord is going to do something today in our midst, in this, His church, with us His people.

I want to invite you at this time to turn to the Gospel of Mark the 16th chapter I hope you didn't get

too comfortable sitting back down because I'm going to ask you to stand again it's

good for the circulation right again if you're able if if not, that's all right.

So would you follow along, as I read beginning in verse one, where Mark, by the Holy Spirit,

says, now, when the Sabbath was passed, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salomi bought spices that they might come and anoint him. Very early in the morning, verse 2, on the first day of the week,

they came to the tomb when the sun had risen,

and they said among themselves,

who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?

But when they looked up,

they saw that the stone had been rolled away,

for it was very large.

And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side and were told that they were alarmed.

But, verse 6, he said to them, do not be alarmed.

You seek Jesus of Nazareth who was crucified?

He is risen. he is not here see the place where they laid him but go tell his

disciples and Peter.

I've always wondered about that.

It's kind of like saying, gentlemen, oh and JD.

Really?

Wasn't Peter one of his disciples? No, there's a reason for that, and we'll talk a little bit about that.
