Summary

Our faith in Jesus’ resurrection is the foundation of our belief as Christians, and the reason we have hope in eternal life. Christ being raised from the dead impacts our daily lives and gives us reason to celebrate. Believers can look forward to spending eternity in heaven with Him when their earthly lives here are done. Some of the benefits we enjoy include forgiveness, power, victory over death, peace, joy, unity, and a purpose in life. Because Jesus is alive, we can have new identities not based on what we do but based on what God says we are—righteous, redeemed, and holy. A proper understanding of what we, as members of the body of Christ, have received keeps us safe from the spirit of division in the world. When we set aside all denominations that separate us, the one thing that unifies us is our belief in what Jesus accomplished by walking out of the tomb on the third day.

0:47.4	It's huge that we make a deposit in our spirits where this is concerned.
0:55.0	verse 12 says this but tell me this since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no
1:06.2	resurrection of the dead?
1:10.5	For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either.
1:17.0	And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless and your faith is useless. And we apostles would all
1:27.8	be lying about God for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave, but that can't be true if there is no
1:35.2	resurrection of the dead. And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then
1:40.8	Christ has not been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then your
1:46.0	faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost and if our hope in
1:58.9	crisis only for this life we are more to be pitted than anyone in the world. But in fact
2:08.2	Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died. So you see, just
2:20.9	this death came in the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has
2:26.1	begun through another man.
2:29.8	Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam.
2:33.6	Everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
