Genesis chapter 33, verse 4, but Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him and they wept.

What a scene as Jacob and Esau are reunited.

And if you rewind a few chapters and you think about the hatred between them, the deception

that Jacob did to Esau and then Esau wanting to kill Jacob, Jacob running for his life,

and now here they are, embracing one another, weeping together. Oh, the power of God to restore

broken relationships is all over this verse. And I just want to lead us to pray

for God to show that power in any relationships that come to our mind. When we think of brokenness,

when we think of enmity, when we think of conflict, when we think of conflict, when we think of brokenness, when we think of enmity, when we think of conflict, when we think of

just tension. I don't know what relationships might come to your mind, specifically in your life,

in your family, with friends, in your church, at work, or just relationships between others that you know where there's

tension. Even tension in the world is part of why we pray for peace among the nations. Because

we're praying to the God who has power to restore that which is broken. And so let's just pray for that right now. God, with whatever

relationships are coming to our mind right now, we pray for restoration. God, we are, we are broken

people. We confess that our relationship with you is broken.

That is the core of all of our broken relationships with each other,

that ultimately we need restoration to you.

And Jesus, we praise you for making restoration to God possible.

Through faith in you, through what you did on the cross to pay the price for us, for

your intercession for us. God, we praise you that we have restored relationships with you

through faith in Jesus. So God, we pray in light of that power to restore. Please show your
