Okay, this is Beth. Listen, what we live for at Living Proof is to serve people the Word

of God. We base our ministry on Hebrews 4.12 that tells us that the Word is alive and

active. We pray this message is going to serve you in some way today and that God is

going to speak through it. Thank you so much for giving us this privilege.

And with me to second Chronicles, as we look at the priesthood in the monarchy, the 29th

chapter of second Chronicles continuing our study, you and I are trying to figure out

what it means that we have been called in the New Testament, a kingdom of priests and

Revelation chapter 1, and we're told in Peter's epistle that we are the royal priesthood.

Now, you and I have already learned that's not a new thought because it came up very,

very early in the institution of the children of Israel. They were told that God would make

them, God said himself, I will make you a kingdom of priests, which is such an incredible

thing. We got to glance for a few moments many weeks ago at the very beginning of our

series. And at the throne room of God in Isaiah chapter 6, when we saw that there is a

throne and this, of course, is a glimpse of the heavenlies, there is a throne set in

a temple. So it's the coming together of all government and everything sacred. So

all coming together of what we would know in New Testament terms as church and state

under one roof, under one head, a theocracy. And that means a kingship, the royal kingship

of God, theos, God himself. So that's what we're studying is what that means to us in New

Testament terms. So we're going to glance today. This will be the only one that will really

spin. We're going to go to a glimpse in the time of the prophets, which of course is

still in the monarchy, but we're going to fast forward in our timeline next week. But
