Hello and welcome to another episode of the savvy painter

podcast. This is Antree Sweed and I am so happy to have you here with me today.

So I am currently traveling.

As I'm recording this, I am in just north of Vancouver waiting for a shuttle to come pick me up and then I am going to a retreat

center where I will be offline with no internet connection and in an

amazing place with some amazing people we're going to be doing some horse therapy or doing yoga. I'm super super excited about this

opportunity that I have to take some time off and recharge my batteries and get some much needed rest.

And that actually is what I wanted to talk to you today about in this episode of the podcast.

I have been talking, I've noticed that this is a thing with not just me, but with other people, and so I wanted to explore it with you today.

So we're gonna take a look at this from a couple different angles.

One of the things that I hear people talk about is when it comes to taking a break or taking

an actual vacation or taking time off from their work.

But mostly where I really hear it is when people talk about just taking a little

break from their work just resting and this seems like a small thing but I promise you it's not. It's really, really interesting.

So what I've noticed is that when I talk to people about taking a break, they're just like, oh my gosh, but I have so much to do.

And when I take a break, I feel guilty, I feel like I should be painting, I feel like I should

be doing something else, I feel like I should be using my time wisely. If I'm not painting then I really should be with my

family or I should be doing something productive. I should make use of my time.

And here's the thing.

Most people, when you really, really think about it,

like we all have an infinite to-do list.
