Today's 10 minute walk is helping you create a walking habit you will love.

Hi, I'm Dave.

I'm getting ready to move from one wooded trail to another wooded trail.

I've got a couple of trails here that are side by side.

The one I'm on right now, there's trees on both sides,

but this is paved.

And there's pine needles over top of, it looks like concrete.

And I'm getting ready to leave this trail, the paved trail.

And there's an adjoining path that actually goes down a little bit of a hill.

It's maybe the only hill in Myrtle Beach.

It goes down a hill and there's still pine needles but there's dirt.

Ground underneath this and I'm coming up to what I have commonly simply called the

wooded trail and this one does not have any pavement instead there are pine

is Angelina spelled a little

differently than I'm used to but I it phonetically sounded out

Angelina and it's a pretty simple comment that's also pretty thought-provoking

I walked well for a couple of years and gave up a year ago. Every day, I think I'll start

today and then don't. Must do soon. Angelina, had a commitment, had a walking habit for a couple of years, and you would think that

after a couple of years that thing is pretty well established. And that's the challenge with

habits. They're really hard to build, but they're easy to break. They're fragile. Habits are fragile. Even good habits that have been underway for years. You still need to take care of them, to coddle them.
