As we continue our week on simple Christianity, we have the joy today of discovering what it means to truly rest in God.

In all the stress and hurry of life, don't we all need to find even just a few moments of rest today?

May God reorient the way you see him today and show you his purpose and pleasure over his

children taking time for true rest in him. Welcome to the first 15 podcast. Our scripture for today comes from Matthew 11, verses 28 through 30.

Scripture says,

Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,

for I am gentle and lowly in heart,

and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy,

and my burden is light.

One of the simple core values of restored relationship with our Heavenly Father is rest.

From the beginning, God exemplified its importance.

Genesis 2 verse 3 says,

God blessed the seventh day and made it holy,

because on it, God rested from all his work

that he had done in creation.

In Hebrews 4, verses 9 through 13 says,

So then there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

For whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from His.

Let us therefore strive to enter that rest so that no one may fall by the same

sort of disobedience. For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword,
