Well, rest is something we cannot put off indefinitely.

You can't store up all your needs for rest for your summer vacation.

If we wait too long to find rest in God, our soul will start to wither.

And these implications will ripple into every aspect of our lives. All along the way, God puts exit ramps on

our journey, opportunities to step aside, to take a deep breath, to find the refreshment you need

in God alone. Well, my precious friend, she's an award-winning novelist, and she also has won an award

for her Bible study. Boy, she's amazing. Tessa Afshar joins me today to talk about her

newest devotional, The Rested Soul, 30 Meditations to Quiet Your Heart. And this book reads
