Verse 1, let's begin reading again.

Let us therefore fear, lest a promise being left us of entering into his rest.

Everybody say rest.

Any of you should seem to come short of it.

For unto us was the gospel or good news preached as well as unto them.

Now you'd have to back up to the third chapter and realize he's talking about these same Israelites that we just got through mentioning.

That came out of Egypt, that first generation that didn't go into the promised land.

He said the good news was preached to them.

Do you know the gospel was preached to those Israelites many years ago?

What gospel? What gospel was preached those Israelites many years ago? What gospel?

Well, gospel means what?

Good news.

Was there any good news proclaimed to them?

Yeah, God's given you a wonderful land.

A good land is with milk and honey.

It's a blessing land.
