But what do you do when it's over? During the Christmas season Christians around the world gather with friends and family to celebrate the historic birth of Jesus Christ.

I'm sure you can agree that once the Christmas celebrations are over, it can be difficult to adjust our emotions.

One of the great things about the Christmas season is the surprises that occur.

Occasionally we're surprised to hear singing outside our front door and a group from the church or perhaps from

where we work or a social group we're a part of is caroling in the crisp night air.

And of course there are always the surprises related

to those gifts around the tree.

And I don't know how you handle the gifts. I have a friend who had a kind of a

unique way to handle them because he knew the children were going to snoop around and find out what they were given.

And so he and their neighbors swapped gifts.

And the neighbors would put their gifts for their kids in our friends home and our friends would put their gifts in the neighbors homes.
