I want to talk about what it is like to respond to the Lord in the right manner.

If you could open the Word of God to Mark 14.

And really, the overall theme of my message is very, very simple,

and it's summed up in one little thing,

which is basically responding to the Lord when we sense his presence and how beautiful of a gift that is.

And as we read this passage, it really shows the heart posture that we can have at different times in our walk with the Lord.

One, when we just feel so close and intimate with the Lord that we sense him everywhere, we see him everywhere, we just want to tell everyone about him.

And there's just this, this longing for him everywhere we go.

No matter what distractions, no matter what is happening, he's on our minds.

He's very present.

And then there's other times in our walk where it's almost like familiarity to his presence

blinds us.

And we just, we're living the Christian life.

We're not necessarily outright sinning, but we're not necessarily so in awe of his presence

like we used to be.

And it's almost like that sensitivity to him is no longer there.

And so let's jump to Mark 14, verse 1. It says, after two days, it was the Passover and the Feast of the 11 bread. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by trickery and put him to death.

But they said, not during the feastless people, lest there be an uproar of the people.
