0:42.4	It's the details of life that matter most. And we miss those details. The big details on the small moments, weddings, birthdays, graduations, all the things that needed to happen, but didn't.
1:00.0	Yeah, he's not wrong. Well, that was President Biden speaking last night in his first primetime address about the last year, marking the passage of the new economic relief bill.
1:08.8	The bill is the first major legislative accomplishment of his presidency, and it comes about halfway through his first 100 days.
1:14.7	So Gideon yesterday, we talked about the disaster that was year one of the pandemic. What did Biden have to say about that?
1:20.8	And what is his vision for year two?
1:23.0	Yeah, a lot of the projection here seemed to be, like you said, this past year has been awful.
1:27.4	Like he really hammered that home in a grim way, but there are reasons to deal with.
1:31.2	And just the case we didn't realize.
1:33.0	Right, exactly, but also that there are reasons to feel hopeful about where we are going if everyone sticks it out a little longer, but also with the warning that conditions could still change.
1:42.5	But one of the major reasons for optimism is the vaccine rollout.
1:45.4	Biden has been cautious in his promises about reaching critical points like herd immunity in the US,
1:50.3	seeming like a strategy to set expectations and then actually over deliver on them.
1:54.5	For instance, there seems to be basically zero doubt that we're going to get to that initial promise of 100 million shots in 100 days, if not actually pass it soon.
2:02.3	So that's great. We'll get to more on what he said about vaccines in a moment.
2:06.4	And that was the major news in the night.
2:08.4	And the other that plays into vaccine rollout too is this relief bill that just passed.
