Welcome back, my friends. I am glad you're here. It's time for the morning mindset, which

think about those words, morning mindset. The implication is we begin the day, whatever

time the day that is for you, by giving our minds set for the day. We're wanting to

align ourselves with God's way of thinking so that we can think His thoughts after Him

about the circumstances that come on our way during this day. That's what Christian

discipleship really is. It's understanding God's ways and applying them throughout

our daily living. Let's dive into the Scriptures to get our minds aligned. We're in the book

of Acts chapter 19, and we have two verses to consider today, verses 21 and 22. This is

telling us a little bit about the journeys of the Apostle Paul, as he was going from Athens

into other regions of the area, teaching and encouraging believers in Jesus Christ. Verse

21 says this, Now, after these events, Paul resolved in the spirit to pass through Macedonia

and IKEA and go to Jerusalem, saying, after I've been there, I must also see Rome. And

having sent into Macedonia to his helpers Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia

for a while. Now, that's all we're going to look at today because there are some very interesting

concepts here. I want us to consider. It's interesting in the first sentence. It says, Paul

resolved in the spirit to pass through Macedonia and IKEA and go to Jerusalem. So Paul made a decision,

a resolution, it calls it here. So it's a pretty strong decision, but he didn't just look

at the facts and weigh the pros and cons and make a decision. It says he resolved in the spirit

to do these things. Now, what does that phrase mean? That's a very curious thing to say, a

curious way to describe a process of making a decision. Now, for believers in Jesus Christ,

I believe this should become second nature to us. And what does it mean? Well, my understanding

from the scripture is that making a decision in the spirit means you're carrying on a conversation,
