When it rains, it pours, and when it comes to the world of unsolved cases,

which so often feels like a justice desert, that's a good thing.

It's unusual for us to have the privilege of bringing you case update episodes at all, let alone major updates on two different cases within the same month.

But here we are, and honestly, this is the most satisfying case update we've ever been able to give.

When we first recorded the episode on this case, I took it quite personally.

It's just such a flagrant injustice. I know what you mean.

It was.

Now, in the present day, not only have the suspects in a long unsolved murder finally been identified,

but an innocent man who was wrongfully accused of the crime has been legally declared innocent.

This development comes after he was robbed of decades of his life, forced to serve prison

and probation sentences for a crime

he couldn't possibly have committed.

I still don't see how any jury was able to convict him.
