Someone once said, I wanted to be a perfect mother, and then I had children.

It's true, isn't it?

Perfect mothers, they don't exist, and trying to be one is a mission impossible. So we'll never be perfect

but we can be purposeful. There is no job on Earth that's more demanding,

consuming, and important than rearing your children.

Reminding yourself that they are gifts from God, even when the pancake syrup is lacing the pantry floor,

the cue tips have been stuffed into the VCR, or your sleep is interrupted for

the umpteenth time, it's paramount for any mom to remain faithful to her purpose.

So I thought I'd take a minute to remind you your child is a gift to be

cherished protected and raised in the fear of the Lord. Only a mother who recognizes that she is an instrument in the hands of a

holy God to help her child become who he has created them to be. Only that kind of

woman will have the patience and perseverance to be fully engaged in the task set before her.

It's been a wonderful time with you and adventure going through some of these resolutions from the

book, The Resolution for Women.

And in our last session, we talked about what it means to be a woman who fulfills her

man. And today, we broaden that family circle to motherhood.

Whether you are a married mother of small children, a single mother raising your children

alone, or even an empty nester who is enjoying grandmotherhood, this resolution is for you, even if you don't yet have children

and yet you want to be equipped when you become one. It's a wise woman who prepares

right now for the roles you desire to take on later on.

This is our final resolution and I could think of no better way to end because

this resolution is the only resolution in the entire book that is specific to mothers.
