Pray the word with David Platt is a resource from radical.net. Job chapter 36, verse 21, take care. Do not turn to iniquity. For this you have chosen rather than affliction. I want to lead us to pray according to this verse because of this counsel that is given to Job

in the middle of his suffering. Take care. Do not turn to iniquity. So these miserable

comforters in the book of Job have constantly said, Job, you're suffering because of your sin.

1:56.1

that God would help us to take care, not to turn to iniquity. And think about it this way. Yes, some

2:08.5

suffering we experience in this world is not directly because of specific sin in our lives.

2:19.4

At the same time, all suffering in this world is ultimately a result of what in this world?

2:28.2

It's all ultimately a result of sin.

2:31.6

Like sin from the very beginning, Genesis 3, introduced into this world has led to

the suffering and pain and grief and hardship and death that we experience in this world. Ultimately,

then, even if we are suffering not because of some specific sin in our lives,
