To say the least, this was Carnival Panorama, and it was sailing in the Gulf of California,

and which, can I just tell you until this story, I didn't even know where that was.

I had to look it up.

The incident occurred around 815 on August 20th, and passengers were like, you know, having dinner and seeing shows, and then they hit this weather, and the ship actually listed.

I'm not sure if there's a certain number that you have to hit in order to be counting as listed as opposed to, you know, just,

just sort of your normal rocky weather, but it did, in fact, list. In a statement to cruise

radio, a carnival spokesperson said the ship was hit by, quote, heavy wind and rain. There was

minor damage. A show was halted midway through for the safety of the

performers, which, you know, is always a big question. And the cruise line reported that nine guests

were treated at their medical center. No serious injuries. All are stable, but two guests were

going to later be referred to a hospital for additional evaluation when the ship

arrived in La Paz. But yeah, scary moment or two there. I'm sure, you know, people had visions

of the Poseidon adventure in their head for a few seconds there. Yeah, and you left out the major

part there in that quote you read, man. It's a heavy wind and rain leading to the ship listing you didn't say that

and that was the big thing there but i had already said that it was listing so i guess i just sort of

assumed that was a given but uh you're right uh that that was the important detail in that quote

i'm just glad a cruise line is saying the ship did list is all I'm trying to say because you don't really hear that a lot.

It's always, oh yeah, we just kind of rock and rolled a little bit.

And three Miami residents wound up in handcuffs following the cruise. Well, two wound up in handcuffs and one was arrested later on that day.
