1:51.0 | Um, yes, exactly. You know what? How's keeping don't even want to do it? I literally literally just beat Resident Evil Village to the point that I had to delay this like five minutes to be able to to keep going and get through the credits and all that stuff. |
2:05.0 | So I'm I'm wearing to go. I'm ready to talk. Britain. I'm going to go with you. Resident Evil Village. What are your thoughts? |
2:13.0 | Oh, okay, Resident Evil Village. So I'm approaching this from the perspective of a crazed Resident Evil fan. So I just want to make that very, very clear. I've been with the series since 1998 like I love the lore. I read the lore as a side hobby. Like I need a new hobby. |
2:26.0 | Um, so with all of that said, I loved the first like, and I finished the game in like 11 and a half hours. I love the first five or so hours of Resident Evil Village. |
2:36.0 | And a lot of this encompass what we saw in those free demos, right? You know, it's when you explore the village for the first time you explore the castle. |
2:43.0 | And after that set piece of lady Demetri's castle, I kind of turned down from a love to a like, and there's a lot of reasons for that. But I don't know how indefinitely want me to go right now. But what I would say is like as far as the survival horror game goes, I think it was fantastic. |
2:59.0 | And as far as a Resident Evil game goes and kind of building off of the foundation of Resident Evil, particularly Resident Evil 7, I would say it was like pretty good. But it wasn't like that lore heavy story that I was really going for. |
3:14.0 | I really wanted Greg, you look like your itching Gulf War. |
3:18.0 | It's such a sigh of relief because Brit, how long have we known each other? A long as time, great. A long as time we won't date ourselves, but it was that thing of coming in and I was like, oh man, I didn't vibe with Resident Evil Village. |
3:32.0 | And I wonder if I don't want to rain on anyone's parade and I wonder if I've never been the I went back actually watched our Resident Evil 7 review, which was fun to go back and see studios and old games cast. |
3:43.0 | Me and Tim, I think a few pounds ago. I was like, damn, damn, time has not been kind to me. But it was this idea of going through and like Resident Evil 7 was the first Resident Evil I like fell in love with where like the VR and the world and the things and then to go from there to Resident Evil 2. |
4:01.0 | And then to be excited for Resident Evil Village, I the entire time I think was in that I like this. I don't love this. I could put this down and never come back to it. I'm going to see it through obviously I beat it. I think my game clock was like 845 8 hours 45 minutes or whatever. |
4:20.0 | And I was very much like, okay, cool, the whole way through, but it didn't have the highs I felt that seven did it didn't have the scares that seven did it didn't hook me that way. |
