It's the 18th anniversary of the night that he and John Madden called a Monday Night Football game, which bread far have lit up the Oakland Raiders in the wake of his father's passing.

That was one of the most remarkable Monday night moments in the history of that series, even to date. And I remember all of us at NFL Network.

We were one month. We were six weeks old when that happened. It was one of the first big stories and games and moments that we covered.

That was the overtime game that Hasselbeck famously said we want the ball. We're going to score on the coin toss when they won it.

At the time of the NL Harris pick six the Packers into Philadelphia where they were all set to head to the NFC championship game against Carolina.

And Donovan Mitchell, Donovan McNam somehow found Freddie Mitchell on a fourth and 26 and then far through an interception of future of Hall of Famer, Brian Dawkins and the Eagles moved on.

Unbelievable. What a what a year that was in 2003.
