I think what we saw immediately post-COVID was a fatigue from our parents who went, oh no, online learning. Oh my goodness, I've done that. That's been really hard work.

Sometimes I think if you're shoehorning EdTech into an environment that wasn't designed for that,

you don't always get the outcomes and the learning progress that potentially is the promise of what EdTech sometimes has been looked upon.

I really hope we don't see AI chatbots replacing human trusted educators, because I think

we've really gone wrong if that's where we're headed.

Thank you, Jane. Now, this is a very timely interview because it's September, all of our thoughts are turning back to the term, well,

those in England anyway, the kids have gone back to school in the last few days last week. But actually,

I was thinking about that. My children have stopped going to school now, but I still sort of

watched the children in my

neighbourhood setting off with their little book bags, etc. And I was just thinking how so little seems

to have changed in terms of the education and the school day and the kind of types of things that

we learn for a long time. Would you agree that it's sort of due for major reform and overhaul?
