Another way that we erase mothers is with a false narrative that says,

0:04.1

it's the hardest job in the world. You're a saint. Mothers are saintly and giving and all loving,

0:13.0

which erases all the real moms who feel so cut off from God they can't even pray.

Welcome to the Good Faith podcast. We are friends who follow Jesus, help each other make sense of the world.

I'm your host, Curtis Chang. At Good Faith, we began the new year with a series on areas in our life where we might need to hit reset. Recently, I had a conversation with John Mark Comer on how we hit

1:39.0

But what is it like to be a mother?

1:40.9

What is that like especially from a spiritual perspective? And that seems like that's

1:46.8

the question that we all, if we want to be making sense of our world, given how important mothers are,

1:52.3

should have some insight into. What is the spiritual inside nature of being a mother? That's a

1:57.4

question for today. And to do that, I'm really glad to welcome two authors,

2:02.2

the first Tara Etlschick and second, Kathy Twan McLean. Together, they've written a book, a devotional

2:09.1

called Moms at the Well, Meeting God Through the Mothers of Scripture.
