Reservation Dogs director, Dennis Goulet, has worked in the industry long enough to see a pattern when it comes to indigenous storytelling.

But she hopes that pattern is changing.

In the history of indigenous film and TV, sometimes we've seen kind of like blips and we go, oh my God, now the floodgates

are going to open and then they don't.

Maybe what feels different about this moment is it feels like suddenly there was a critical

mass and that with that kind of comes a wave.

Dana Sculey talks about working on the third and final season of reservation dogs and her hopes for the future for marginalized storytellers.

She also shares why she respects series co-creator Sterlin Harjo's decision to pull the plug on his much-lauded show.

Hi there.

So, as you and I well know, there is a fight going on,

and it may change before this edition of the show reaches anybody's ears.

But as we speak, there is this ongoing fight between Disney and Charter,

which has the Spectrum Cable Service.

And the question is, how much does Charter pay to carry Disney material?

ABC, other channels.

Now, this kind of fight, as we both know, has been very routine, and they fight usually

up to the last minute before the deal expires, and then, you know, all these threats, we're

going to pull this off of this cable system, and they make a deal. It's about the money.
