Okay, so confidence. Hot topic. A lot of people want to know how do we cultivate

more confidence. So we'll look at it through two lenses. There's the domain

specific confidence. So this is your confidence in doing certain tasks or

being in certain contexts, sport, music, conversation, socializing, et cetera.

And then we could say that there's just the general confidence to get through

life. Now we carry ourselves. There's lots that goes into developing each of

these kinds of confidences. But there's one key thing that often gets

overlooked, which is that your confidence is directly related to your

capacity to be with difficult experiences. Your confidence is directly

related to your capacity to be with difficult experiences. Now even that

definition we can look at in two ways. We can perceive it through the lens of

developing confidence and also through the lens of having confidence. So

through the lens of developing confidence, your capacity to be with

difficult experiences allows you to try new things to overcome them, to make

mistakes, to go through what you might perceive as failures. And your baseline

capacity to hold the discomfort of that and continue to move forward will lead

to the development of a new skill set and understanding of how to do
