Why are people so hostile to the doctrine of election?

I think there are two reasons.

The principal objections to the doctrine of election are one.

People see it as expressing too low of a view of humans.

People will acknowledge that we're fallen, that we are by nature sinners, and that we are

And I have to say on the side that those who take that view are usually operating on a humanistic

Maybe they'll admit that it's being weakened a little bit,
