Welcome to the beat. I am Ari Melber and this week right here is ending with the

Republican Party still reeling from that revolt against its policies from

Ohio to Virginia this week. Voters celebrated another election that punched

back against Republican policies and really the wider MAGA brand.

A rebuke that came on the eve of one of the party's last chances to try to publicly rally

around any alternative to Donald Trump who's dragged his party

through several losing elections now. You probably saw or heard about some of that debate

which did not seem to clarify a ton except perhaps how much Veeveck has managed to alienate everyone from

Nicky Haley to Eminem a sentence we didn't know we'd ever commit to here on the news

but I'm gonna be clear and as respectful as possible.

Whatever one thinks of that, very loud, kind of holier than thou, Mago Wannabe, it was Vivec, who took the mic and actually told Republican candidates and voters something they have not wanted to hear this week that they are in the middle of an ongoing rolling epic losing streak that is not stopping.

We have lost 2018, 2020. 20-22, no red wave that never came.

We got trounced last night in 2023.

That is just a mathematical fact,

whatever you think of the messenger,

and it cannot be spun by pundits or just

trolled out of existence in the echo chamber

of Elon Musk's anti-Free Speech version of Twitter.

It can't be buried under the type of fake news that really

animates so much right-wing discourse from the internet to actual

insurrections. So here's what we know. Step one, Republicans have been losing ever since Donald Trump took

those escalator steps down into Trump Tower to announce his campaign to come on the scene.
