Hey Tom, thanks for having me.

I should do my obligatory, you represent the second district of Wisconsin, you're the current member

in chair emeritus, the congressional progressive caucus, co-founder and co-chair of the labor caucus,

and chair of the congressional equality caucus. So what's going on on the floor of the house here?

I don't really know. I don't know why Jim Jordan keeps bringing us to the floor only to lose votes

every time we have another election for speaker. I think this time it was 25 people voted against him.

So, you know, I'm guessing they said right now we're in recess, normally we'd be wrapping up now

and this would be the end of the week, even though they threaten that we'd be here over the weekend,

they threaten that every weekend lately, that he needs members to go home so that people can put

pressure on those 25 people in district to try to get their votes.

So their constituents can threaten them rather than gun owners of America.

He's losing ground here, right? If you lose, you know, one percent each time, you're not

exactly going to get to the victory he wants. So I'm guessing that may happen, but who knows?
