Our special guest this week is the Bullworks own Charlie Sykes.

We are in the midst as we record this of day three of the January 6th committee hearings and today's focus is on the role of Mike Pence.

And I'm going to start with you, Charlie Sykes.

Seems that Mike Pence was a hero because if he had I know those words are hard to say but honestly if Pence had done anything else

or if he had done the bidding of the then sitting president in the United States, we would

have been in the midst of a massive constitutional crisis.

That seems inarguable.

And by the way, thanks for the invitation. It's good to be with you today.

You know one of the things that I was thinking about as I was listening to today's hearing and reading Judge Lutig's statement that we published in the bulwark is try this as a mental

exercise try to imagine that you were hearing this all for the first time.

Imagine this was all coming out now that we had not spent the last year and a half parsing

through the various details having it leaked out you know here and there what if

this story was now just coming a case of first impression. It would be overwhelming.

It would be absolutely overwhelming and I think the magnitude of the threat would be
