My name is Rob Maower, today we're talking about Tesla in China.

Also a little bit of inconsequential news from the SEC and another update from Rivian.

Tesla stock on the day finished down 0.60 to

343.92 cents this compared to the NASDAQ up 0.01%. As I mentioned

yesterday today we got an update on Tesla Short Interest from November 15th.

Remember, we were keeping a close eye specifically on this update because the last time we got

updated Short Interest numbers, the number of shares sold short had fallen by the most significant

amount of shares since the dramatic stock price rise that we saw in 2013. I was particularly interested in this update because back in 2013 when we saw that huge

drop in short interest, we actually saw that in two back-to-back periods of reporting, so I was curious if we may see something similar in short interest this time

due to the Q3 results. As a reminder from October 15th to October 31st, we saw short interest drop by about 4.1 million shares.

That was the significant drop.

This time, we did continue to see short interest fall, however not by as significant of an amount.

It only fell this time by about 1.1 million shares from 29.9 million shares sold short

to 28.8. So that does make me a little bit less bullish on

Tesla in the short to medium term. Still bullish, still concerned about the

macro environment. No real change with anything there, except we now know that the dramatic

short covering is no longer continuing at least in that two-week period of time.

So I think now that we know that it's less likely for any sort of dramatic

short covering to start happening here in the next few weeks, which might make it a little bit more difficult

for Tesla to continue to rally. The next piece of news today is on Tesla in China. Reuters
