Everybody's been asking about free agent names, so I got some names for you, but we got to start here because according to Mark

Stein just happened. He said breaking, an unidentified Dallas investor group is interested

in partnering with Mark Cuban to buy the Mavericks back from Patrick Dumont. The Stein

line has learned. A source close to Dumont told me, the family remains excited about the future

of the franchise and the Cooper Flag era. That's not a no to me. Mark Stein, I'm sure he'll have more stuff on this later as the day goes on and as the story unfolds and all that. This kind of stuff takes a long time. But your first initial thought is what? Mark Cuban coming back. Well, you could get rid of the guy that signed off on the Lucanodontia trade. You'd do it. Bring back Mark Cuban. The days were better with Mark Cuban. Right? That's the thing that I think I would hear from people from from from Mabbs fans. I've heard that already. Man, remember at least Mark Cuban cared about this franchise and knew what it was to be a Mavericks fan and all that. Okay. And then the other thought is, why would they do it? Why would they ever sell? Vegas Sands and the Adelson's, the Dumas, why would they ever sell the Mavericks? They just bought them not that long ago. This doesn't happen that off that. And just to go back and sell it to Mark Cuban?

Well, it doesn't make any sense for them to sell it back, right? You just got Cooper Flagg. You've kind of already, you've tried to fix this whole Lucidantia trade situation. You've tried to be, you know, to get right with the fans. And they did the thing where they retired Mark Aguars jersey, and Patrick Dumont made sure that he was in the video where he was shaking Patrick to Mark McGuire's hand and saying,

hey, you're going to get your jersey retired.

He was there that night.

All that stuff.

Optics, definitely for a reason.

And so they tried to win this back and all that.

They're moving forward to the Mav's new arena.

That was the reason why Mark Cuban sold the team in the first place, right?

He said that these guys know how to build.

These guys know how to build, you know, facilities and casinos and resorts and all that big stuff. And their whole big plan was to build the Dallas and the Texas, North Texas, casino resort, Mavs Arena, all that kind of stuff, entertainment capital

of whatever.
