This is Monica Perez, and we are here with part five of our discussion of report from Iron

Mountain on the possibility and desirability of peace.

So if you haven't heard the first parts, go listen to him now because we're continuing our

And I specifically am following up.

We're going to read a lot of the text and talk about it.

But at the end of the last, or during the last part four, I read Navasky's, Victor

Nevasky wrote an introduction to the 1996 version. I'm reading from the

1968 or 67. It's a little confusing. So originally I had read an appendix by Herschel

McLandris, who is the name that John Kenneth Galbraith used when he was reviewing books.

And it was in a book review and he said,

everybody's saying this is a hoax.

I was in on it.

So it definitely happened.

I couldn't show up.

They invited me, but I'm sure this is true.

So Navaski, now that was appendix too,

but Navaski wrote an introduction that said, oh yeah,

Lewin was a great satirist satirist, and we're super satirical. It's like exactly up our alley.

So I thought, yeah, okay, this report from Iron Mountain isn't funny at all. There's nothing

humorous about it. I couldn't find any Leonard Lewin. He mentioned an anthology of political satire written by Leonard Lewin. I found

none of that. He wrote something about the greatest day in football. He later wrote a novel triage,
