0:57.2	for The Other People's Show. I am typically talking with literary authors, poets, memoirists,
1:06.6	and Roger McNamee is a longtime Silicon Valley investor. He was an early investor in Facebook. He has co-founded several successful venture capital funds, which most, if not all, of my other guests have not done. These funds include a fund called Elevation, which he co-founded with Bono of U2.
1:29.5	And Roger's, you know, he's a very interesting guy.
1:32.2	He's kind of a renaissance man and very unpretentious.
1:35.9	I remember he came to my house and I felt a little bit nervous about that.
1:41.3	I was like, this big time venture capitalist guy from the Bay Area is going to come
1:45.1	to my like shitty house and, you know, but there was none of that. I think he had a purple hoodie on.
1:50.6	I think he wears purple. I think that might be a thing. And he plays bass and guitar in a band called
1:57.9	Moon Alice and another band called Doobie Decimal System.
2:02.5	He is the author of a couple of other books, including The New Normal and the Moon Alice
2:08.7	Legend, posters and words, volume 1 through 9.
2:12.3	He also served as a technical advisor for seasons 2 through five of the HBO sitcom series Silicon Valley.
