This podcast would not exist without Tim Keller.

I'm not even sure I'd be a serious follower of Jesus

if it weren't for Tim's work in my life. I mean prior to reading Keller for the first time in my

I don't know early 20s I had heard the gospel preached hundreds of times but there was something about how God used Keller's

pen, Keller's writing to connect the Gospel from my head to my heart.

I think in Keller I saw for the first time

that the true depth and ugliness of my sin,

and also the depths and the marvelous mysterious wonderful nature of God's perfect love. And I don't know, I think he helped me understand

the true gospel of Jesus Christ

for the first time in a really real way and because of that I mean for years

from afar Keller was a spiritual father for me which makes today the day Keller went home to be with the

Lord really hard but he wasn't just like a personal father for me.

Keller is also responsible for Lord willing what I'm going to commit the rest of my life

to professionally.

You know, it was every good endeavor, his book on work, that was one of a few,

a handful of major catalysts to lead me to committing my life to helping you and I connect the

gospel to the work we do outside the four wells of the church.

And you know the last time he and I spoke, it was September 8th, 2022, we were recording an episode of this

podcast, which I'm going to re-share here in a minute just as a tribute to Tim.

When we got done when we hung up we had one of the most memorable conversations of my life.

I won't share all the details of it.

But he just reminded me of why this topic is so important to him.
