Yeah great week everyone. Okay thanks. Bye. |
| 1:58.0 | Hello. Welcome to forever 35 a podcast about the things we do to take care of ourselves. I am Kate Spencer. I am Dory Shefrier. We are not experts. We are just two friends who like to talk about serums. And today we're actually going to talk about serums. I can't wait. We're bringing it back. I'm so excited. I am too. Oh gee forever 35. |
| 2:26.0 | We're six months old. Let's take it back to the old days. Forever 35 used to be so much cooler. I remember when forever 35 was cool. Talk about serums. We recently I was like wow we even talked about serums in a while. Yeah Dory was like we haven't should be chat about some products that we're liking. So we're going to do a product episode. But first let's just kind of circle it back and see how we're doing. How are you doing? |
| 2:53.0 | Well I'm coming off a weekend of seeing my number one favorite band fish. And I'm feeling very tired because I'm now old and I can't go to numerous fish concerts in a row like I used to. |
| 3:05.0 | Well getting home at 1 a.m. is like real. It is real. It was hard work. Yeah. You know in the grand scheme of things it was easy work. But it was a little bit like wow I'm not I'm not the Sprite Lee 19 year old I used to be. |
| 3:20.0 | I should explain to the audience that fish is my favorite band. I've seen about over 100 shows. And I've been seeing them since I was 16 years old since 1995. I saw my first fish show I normally see a few fish shows a year. There's something I posted about this on Instagram because I get teased a lot for loving fish so deeply it's not an a very understood thing. |
| 3:44.0 | And also I think to like still be a huge fan of the thing I was a huge fan of in high schools always not like sometimes people grow out of their things and I have just grown into it more. |
| 3:53.0 | But for me it's very it's like a very nurturing experience to get to go to these concerts. They're so energetic everybody's so happy to be there. It's very much like I get to kind of reconnect with who I was when I was like 16 17 18 19 20. |
| 4:10.0 | And also like now I'm a now I'm a totally different person and I feel very freeing. And so it's just really really fun aside from the fact that we were getting home at 1 a.m. And then of course my body wakes up at 7 a.m. So I was just like what am I right putting on like muscle muscle relaxing cream. |
| 4:29.0 | I was now like taking Advil preventively. It was great. It's that's that is like a big I think a big part of myself care is seeing like making time carving out time to like see this band that I love very deeply. |
| 4:43.0 | I really like that what you just said about kind of still liking something that you liked so long ago and seeing how your love for it has evolved. |
| 4:53.0 | Yeah because you've changed and your relationship to the band has changed and they've changed and they've changed but you've kind of changed in that you you've evolved together. |
| 5:03.0 | It's also kind of nice because it's a thing that's mine like it's not something I do with my husband you know and actually like can I have very different tastes when it comes to music. |
| 5:12.0 | And like it's a thing I get I go and do I don't bring my kids. Yeah. There are people who make that choice. It's just my thing. Yeah. And I like that. I love that. |
| 5:21.0 | So I had a really great time. Thank you to the band fish. I'm sure they're all listeners of this podcast for sure. And I just want to say thank you for being a part of my self care. Great shows here in LA. |
| 5:32.0 | That's all Dory. What did you do while I was at fish with your eyes. |
| 5:38.0 | I well Friday night I took myself to the movies. What did you see? I saw eighth grade. Oh my god. I want to see that so badly. I really liked it. |
| 5:47.0 | Damn, I got to get on that. But it is like painful to watch. I didn't so much identify exactly. I didn't like identify with the protagonist because I don't have the kind of social anxiety that she has. |
