Anybody capable of kidnapping a baby is obviously deceitful. I believe there was a lot of deceit that went on.

There's some information that I know that hasn't been released but shows how capable somebody would be of a lie.

7 month old Christopher Abeda disappeared from his crib just feet from where his parents were sleeping in the early morning hours of July 15, 1986.

We know that when a child goes missing, the family always needs to be looked at. In Christopher's case, the parents remain the focus for a very long time.

The Abeda family conducted their own investigation because they felt they had no choice since the police weren't looking at anyone else.

In part one of this story, you heard about what happened during the first 23 years or so after his disappearance.

In this second part, we're going to go over the more recent developments in the case.

Just to recap some of the facts from part 1, Christopher disappeared from his crib during the night between July 14th and 15th.

His family discovered this early the next morning and called the police.

Christopher's parents had been separated and this was the first night that they had spent together in months.

His father, Gila Beta, had been seeing a woman named Emma Bradshaw.

That evening, she made several attempts to contact Gila at the home he'd been living at during the separation.

He and his wife, Bernice, were attempting to reconcile, but he hadn't planned on spending the night.
