So let's stop and ask for directions from today's guest, Bri Emory.

What does the word anxiety mean to you, Kayla?

Oh, that's a good question.

Let's dive right in.

I know pressure.

For me, anxiety means struggling to cope with something that others don't struggle with,

or what does it mean to you?

I came up with, I just was thinking about it because I feel like I understand the feeling

of anxiety.

I understand anxiousness.

And then it led me to start googling actual anxiety disorder and what that means.

I feel like anxiety for me, my personal definition of it is emotional quicksand.

It's like this imagery where I just keep sinking deeper and deeper and deeper into myself

and I just can't get out.

And then the idea of struggling to get out of it sits me into a more of a panic and I'm

just scraping at sand that just makes me sink deeper into it.

And such a visual.

I think for me, I know that my anxiety usually is associated with social anxiety, anything

social.
