Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share

the word, prayers, and our heart. I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me,

which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent. Well, it's been a good week,

and we're wrapping up our real-life parenting week on the Five Word Prayers Daily today.

Today is an important Friday, five, which we do every Friday, by the way, with a list of five things.

Today is a list of five deal breaker questions.

So get your pens and paper or phones and notes out because these are ones you'll want to keep on hand as you parent along.

Parenting is full of this choice or that, and so often we feel we need a psychology degree and the audible voice of God to know what to do

in a situation where it's kind of a gray area. Some of you wanted to know, what things do I make

deal breakers and what things do I let slide? And I can't wait to talk about this because I've dealt

with it a lot myself and had that question two.

So as always, the five minutes goes fast, so let's get right into it.

Five questions you can ask that will help you determine these deal breakers in parenting.

Number one, is it hurting their mind?

This is a good question to ask when considering allowing things into your home and for them to watch or places for them to go.

Most of us know that 20 hours in front of a video game wouldn't be good. That wouldn't be a good

idea. But what about two? Well, what kind of video game is it? Will they get, will they be

killing someone for two straight hours? And if so, do you think that's a good idea for them to

think about that for 180 straight minutes? I mean,, do you think that's a good idea for them to think about that
