Hi, friend. I'm so grateful you've joined me on the Jesus Over Everything show. If you haven't heard the news, we have gone retro this summer. For the months of June and July, we are featuring our five word prayers daily. The show, this show started as, and so many of you love so much, five-minute podcast shows on topics of all kinds, the short inspiration you need for every day of the week.

Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the

word, prayers, and our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be

0:42.2

five minutes well spent. So we're talking parenting all month on the show, and I'm hoping

1:18.4

talk about this idea of sort of the black sheep of the family, maybe kind of the labels we put on our

1:24.1

kids, and most of all, what to do when our heart is broken by the choices of our

1:28.9

children. And by the way, this happens sooner than we might think. I don't remember all the exact

1:38.0

moments the realization hit me. My kids would break my heart. But I do remember one specifically

1:43.2

that I honestly can't talk about on

1:45.0

the show in detail because one of the things I always want to do is honor my family with my social

1:49.4

media and this show. And while I don't ever want to be cryptic because that's annoying, I know,

1:54.6

and generally not helpful, it's more important for me to honor the privacy in our home,

especially when the exact instance doesn't
