Opened up talking about the Mets continued losing streak and a great one at Yankee Stadium last night.

One of the things you said earlier was I can't believe we're talking about Carlos Mendoza potentially getting fired,

but not like I can't believe because it's a silly conversation.

Just I can't believe that the team after last year has come out and then look this listless and we're

actually really legitimately having this conversation. And it's not just about the start of this year.

It's about the end of last year. It's also about the money spent and everything that goes into

what Steve Cohen and David Stearns are expecting and the way that they have played, which just feels

And let's not forget that they fired the entire coaching staff.

And at the time, and I know that other people disagree with me, but when Kai Correa was hired,

I immediately said, this is the guy that if Carlos Mendoza gets fired in the middle of the

season they're going to go to. Now, the counter to that is, well, he doesn't have experience, he's young, how is a guy like that going to tell, you know, Juan Soto what to do and all these things. Well, that's a fair point. And I'm not saying I would hire Kai Correa as the manager. I'm just trying to get in the head of David Stearns and what he wants.

bench coach, which is a very, very important role to a baseball staff.

You know, the guy that is in the ear of Carlos Mendoza, he's right next to him.

He's essentially the assistant head coach as the bench coach.

So that's why I think that he's going to say, this is the perfect guy, we're going to work well together,

and this clubhouse will police itself, all these things that these guys think, these analytic guys.
