And guess what holiday is just about to dawn upon us?

Repeal Day.

December 5th is the 92nd anniversary of the repeal of alcohol prohibition.

And, you know, Mike, I think, you know how we have a lot of kind of traditions on Memorial Day

and July 4th and Veterans Day where we have ceremonies and events honoring our fallen heroes

or the Declaration of Independence or whatever.

I think we should have similar events on repeal Day, don't you?

You know, events where we talk about all of the harms that prohibition inflicts upon society

in so many different ways.

What do you think?

Oh, yeah, absolutely.

And I mean, obviously we repealed alcohol prohibition 92 years ago,

but drug prohibition is stronger than it's ever been.

Yeah, and think about all the harm, just like alcohol prohibition,

the harms that it's created, you know, alcohol prohibition made two-bit gangsters

into, you know, wealthy, basically

warlords who controlled cities like Chicago and corrupted politicians.

It, you know, ruined the lives of so many otherwise innocent people who, you know, would get involved with felony convictions

that made it impossible for them to get new work in the future.

And, of course, it killed a lot of people, not just people fighting over territory for distribution
