Welcome to another late week edition of the Rich Eisen podcast presented by Papa Johns.

There is so much going on the National Football League,

and there are some moments during a Sunday when something happens,

and as I'm sitting on the Total Access access set watching the games with the whole crew,

I know this is going to make me have a late week podcast.

And when Madonnavin McNabb was benched in Detroit with less than two minutes to go

and a six point deficit for Rex Grossman, I thought to myself,

that's a late week podcast podcast right there waiting to happen.

And then sure enough, the next day, Randy Moss gets cut.

And those are just two latest instances,

why the NFL is the greatest reality show on television,

a soap opera that you cannot predict once.

Maybe someone's going to have amnesia and just like a real soap opera one week,

and we'll have a late week podcast about that.

But obviously the Randy Moss cutting and then being picked up by the Tennessee Titans midweek

is story number one in the NFL,

with Story 1A being Donovan McNabb being benched by Mike Shanahan in Washington,

just eight weeks into his new tenure in his post-Eagles world.
