| 0:06.0 | Florida Democrat Sheila Sherfulus McCormick was due to face the House Ethics Committee today to determine her punishment after it concluded she committed large-scale financial fraud, money laundering, and other violations. |
| 0:18.0 | This comes just a week after representatives Eric Swalwell and |
| 0:21.6 | Tony Gonzalez resigned amid accusations of sexual misconduct. Lisa Desjardin's been following it all and joins us now. |
| 0:28.6 | So Lisa, let's start with Congresswoman Sheriffillus McCormick. Why did she step down now? |
| 0:32.5 | As you said, we know the timing. This was just minutes. she announced her resignation before that hearing from the |

| 1:42.6 | investigating her for some two years defended |
| 1:45.5 | their process, they say she had ample opportunity to defend herself. |
| 1:50.5 | The process worked in some ways in that she decided to resign and sort of face any consequences |
| 1:56.3 | that may be coming her way. And certainly the process over the past two years was able to uncover a lot of |
