Welcome to another edition of the Rich Eisen podcast.

Well, it's actually the second ever Rich Eisen podcast, so it's my first time I can officially say welcome to another one of them.

But at any rate, week number two in the books in the National Football League, we've got a great show and store, Aaron Rogers, the franchise quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, the new franchise quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, will join us. Michael Strahan, the old defensive lineman who led the Giants back to Super Bowl glory before retiring and now spending time on the Fox set and, of course, television commercials everywhere on a television near you.

Michael Strayhan will join us on this podcast as well, as will a couple of my colleagues again last week when so well with Jason Wormser.

The Worm is, I think, worming his way, if you will, into the

consciousness of the NFL fan. We're going to bring him back, and Mike Muriano, a coordinating

producer of so many great programs here, NFL Total Access, Game Day Highlights, Game Day Final.

We're going to talk about some of the hot topics in the NFL after week number two, which, by the way, is my favorite week of the NFL season in many ways.

First of all, the level of play in week number two is such an improvement from week one.

Everybody's got a week under their belts.

They've got a full game under their belts conditioning-wise.

After a preseason when nobody plays a full game, week one, the level of play is choppy.

There's lots of penalties, lots of turnovers as everyone's getting used to one another, used to any new emphasis of rules.

Week two is a different story. Everybody is coming back fresh from week

number one, of course if you're healthy. But by fresh, I mean a clean slate for anybody that started

0 and 1. It's the first time in the NFL season where redemption comes into play. If you

lost week one by week two, you can even your record.

And as a matter of fact, right now half the league is one and one after two weeks.

Week number two is also the first time that desperation begins to creep into play in the NFL.

That it is never too early to play desperate.

Certainly, if you have a chance to wind up O and 2, the numbers don't lie, as Nick

Bacay would say.
